Wreckfest 2 | The Sixth Content Update Coverage

Wreckfest 2’s roster is packing three new vehicles, each built with high-speed thrills and unique features.

Updated New Cars

  • First up: a beefy Dodge Challenger/Chevy Camaro clone packing classic muscle-car punch, echoing the Mustang-mimicking Rocket.
  • Next, the nimble Mazda MX-5-style Nami—hilariously out of place in demolition derbies (fingers crossed no soft top!).
  • Finally, the iconic School Bus: built to shield its riders while wrecking everyone else.

Updated New Tracks

On the track side, Wreckfest 2 has added two all-new circuits as the following:

  • Dalsbanen unleashes a raw folk-race circuit channeling Denmark’s iconic Nysumbanen.
  • The second track spotlights Wreckfest 2’s bold new Waypoint mode!

Along with tracks, the update is out with 8 new challenges and new Waypoint Race mode.

Waypoint Mode Revolutionizes Wreckfest 2

Waypoint mode is the update’s standout feature in Wreckfest 2, transforming traditional races into open-world waypoint challenges. Instead of fixed circuits, players navigate vast maps via checkpoints, choosing routes through cities, deserts, or scrapyards. Key highlights include:

  • Gameplay – This is not circuit racing, the mode has a wide area where hitting markers are scattered.
  • Open Environments – The mode will now provide you the exact path, the encouragement covers up open, rugged, and large-scale environments.
  • Explosive Mayhem – The high-speed opportunities are open now due to navigation of AI opposition.
  • Vehicles – Suitable for a variety of vehicles but the School Bus steals the show as the ultimate wrecking beast.

Cup Playlists for Server Admins Made Easy

Wreckfest 2 swaps event voting for cup voting—players now pick entire cups! Cup playlists (like Wreckfest’s “event loops”) live as .becl JSON files in your server save folder. Here, you set up events with IDs, game modes, and rules—the default_loop.becl example has everything to kickstart your custom list.

Cups get defined in server_cup_config.ccnl (also JSON), where you link playlists, set point systems, and add car restrictions. Go as detailed as you like, flip the “reverse rule” to ban specific cars, and check the example config. Current cars span car01–car14, plus school_bus and motorhome standouts.
